GP Mean Earnings Declaration 2020
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Church Road Surgery in the last financial year was £61,424 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs and 2 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
Coronavirus (updated 19th March 2020)
The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

Church Road Surgery Innovation
Church Road Surgery is passionate about working an innovative manner. This work is aimed to improve various aspects of patient care. Examples of these and some of our projects include:
A machine which collects data about your heath and your observations such as BP and directly downloads into the computer consulting system. This aims to improve the efficiency of your consultation.
Thrive To Work
During the month of September and October Church Road Surgery help support pat ents through a programme to get people back into work The Thrive into Work programme was an experimentaltrial that tested a new employment support service for people with a Mentalor Physical Health conditionin primary and community care.
Dr Sarwar is working closely with the West Midlands Academic Heath Network to improve the detection of high blood pressure andpoorly controlled blood pressure. Thisis in preliminary stages but uses a device that records your blood pressure and sends to your smart mobile phone and to the surgery.

Church Road Surgery is one of 3 practicesinthe i3 PCN to pilot video consultations fromyour smart phone.Pushdoctors are able to integrate with the computer system at the surgery and sowith your consent dealwith some medical condit ons. With the advantage of electronic prescribing,scripts can be sent to a chemist of your choice. Speak to Dr Sarwar or Nosheen for further advice.

GP Extended Access Scheme
Your localGPs are working together asi3 (formerly ICOF) Primary Care Network (PCN) to improve services to you,our pat ents.One of the ways we are doing this is to provide extended access during weekday evenings and the weekends. From the 1st April2019if you are a pat ent at one of the following practices.

Extended Opening Hours
ICoF (Intelligent Commissioning Federation) is launching the IAS (Improved Access Scheme) to extend the hours available to patients to be seen by a GP for its member practices.
As Church Road Surgery is a member of ICoF, patients will be able to book to see a GP for the following extended hours:
Monday to Friday 18:30 – 20:00 (6:30pm till 8pm)
Saturday 09:00 – 13:00 (9am till 1pm)
Sunday 10:00 – 13:00 (10am till 1pm)
