ICoF (Intelligent Commissioning Federation) is launching the IAS (Improved Access Scheme) to extend the hours available to patients to be seen by a GP for its member practices.
As Church Road Surgery is a member of ICoF patients will be able to book to see a GP for the following extended hours:

To book an appointment please ring your surgery number 0121 411 0344 where you will be either put through to your Practice HUB or given details of how to contact the HUB.
All surgeries are now contracted to work bank holidays, this is a temporary measure to support all NHS Services during the Covid 19 Pandemic. Please contact the surgery should you require medical attention over a Bank Holiday Period.

Improved Access appointments are pre-bookable and available on the day depending on demand.
To book an Improved Access (IAS) appointment on week days (now at Newtown Health Centre), call Church Road Surgery on 0121 411 0344 anytime between 08:00 - 18:30. At weekends contact Summerfield Primary Care Centre on 0121 255 0419 between 09:00 – 13:00 on a Saturday and 09:00 – 12:00 on a Sunday.
This service is also available on Bank holidays - this includes Christmas Day and New Years day.
Emergencies have priority at all times. You can call 0121 411 0344 any time 24 hours a day. Please listen to the full message on the answering machine.
Please remember that the out-of hour’s service is for genuine medical emergencies only. This means that the problem cannot wait until the next available appointment at Church Road Surgery.
